Man at arms

Since the world came into being, man has risen their fists against eachother. Lifted clubs to bring down on each others skulls. Picked up tools to tend the earth. Raised planes to the air only to drop bombs. Lifted rifles to spill blood. The Last 3 days I have been using my arms to lift boxes.
Thats right, the more observant of you will have noted in a previous post that my ambulance is currently unregistered. So why would someone call me to help them move whilst I am so vehicularly challenged??? The real question is; why not?? and my goodness is moving someone when you're not just a ring-in van/panno hard work..Let me tell you some phrases I totally used up over the last 3 days:

  • Are you really gonna use that?
  • Really?
  • You want...Where??
  • No, I don't have the tape.
  • Seriously man you're not gonna use that.
  • I'll get the bin..
  • Just throw it..
I'm sure there were many more, this experience has really helped me realise how much crap we all hold onto. I confess I am a hoarder. But, I tell you I'll be laughing when this 6inch piece of twine I found by the roadside in the great strom of '98 holds something together till I buy the proper part. So, I think I'm going to try and get rid of some of my excess stock of stuff.. This probably means Eltham willl get afew more shirts. It is also a very bonding experience helping someone go through their crap, and helping them start anew in a new residence.
To anyone out there who is thinking about moving house. No, I don't feel like helping you right now.. I've had mine, thankyou.
I'm just a fraction sore, old fridges and washing machines are heavy. Nuff said.
While all this was happening, one of my close mates, and X-Planet Bob resident, Luke, well his wife Jess had twins, with Luke's help. I tell you what, these are some damn fine looking kids. One boy and one girl, names Josh, and Elizabeth(Joshy and Ellie). Jesse reckons that Ellie is a miny her, and Luke spent most of friday quoting Dr Evil, including pinky finger poised to lip, "I call him miny me". It was pretty funny, or maybe I was tired. Last night I had a bit of a laughing spell, for no particular reason, tiredness was to blame for this. Speaking of tiredness, I'm going to bed. Even I get tired after a solid night of candle arranging.
