Well today your hero and humble narrator, Simon P. Turner Esquire, was planning on going for a picnic down to Bombo Quarry. Alas, certain peoples had to do stuff they hadn't been able to accomplish earlier in the week. So, as the joyful servant he is, my box of salad and choice cold meats was returned to the fridge, paper work on the agenda, and the day began. Bumped into Dan the man at UNI, chatted about LtU&E, then bumped into J and Sal at Officeworks.
Planet Bob was the location of the "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" screening day. Eltham had constructed a mighty fine dais, which Amanda and I perched ourselves on, feeling like Jabba (the great one). Ah, Jabba on the Dais. An unnecessary argument regarding which was better Wayne's World or the B&T series. I stayed on the sidelines thinking they come from the same school...B&T is more Sci Fi, whilst WW is usually more quotable. And, that's all I've got to say about that.
Amanda was on street van tonight, so, seeking to begin to serve with her I too went on street van. However, it was south van, not north van. I was in unfamiliar territory. Surrounded by unfamiliar faces wanting coffee, food and conversation. On the whole it was a great night... Bruce, who came out with us served like an absolute thoroughbred. Sometimes it really is hard to love the unlovely, thankfully(?) I'm constantly reminded how unlovely I am also.
