Ford announce Front Wheel Drive Falcon??

Ford cut the Wagon-results in a year of worst sales
Ford Cut the Panel Van results in opening up the market share for Expensive European import panel vans
Ford cut the v8 in the 80’s and have never recovered from such a near sighted and ludicrous decision.

I can’t believe the lengths that some companies will go to fail.

If you read American Forums the American drivers are envious of our Ford Falcon.
GMC decided that the Commodore was a platform for the world, and yet Ford America decide that a vehicle, superior to any other they make, is not worth marketing and distributing world wide as “The Sports Saloon” Accelerates like a mustang but actually knows how to go around a corner.

I drive a the last model of V8 fairmont wagon with full Tickford options.
It’s an AU, I would drive a newer model, but Ford cut the V8 and the Fairmont in the Wagon Line.

Wake up to yourself FORD America…

I drive a V8 ford Wagon with all the luxuries.

I tow

I like Performance

I like handling

I like build quality

I am Australian

I drive long distance 800km at the drop of a hat. Often towing

I will not be doing that in a front wheel drive, or with the extra running cost of an all wheel drive.

Ford if you don’t wake up to yourself I’m buying a BMW or Volvo wagon, and I just about vomited that phrase.

Well I'm nto buying a Holden, they make Hatchbacks....

Simon had a thought.

Yes, I know they are few and far between.

I was thinking how good would it be to create a quiz that parallels questions in movies??

For example..

From Airheads..

Which way did you go with the Van Halen and Le Roth split?

and

Who would win in an Arm wrestle Lemmy or God?

Biblical Parallel Questions

Which way did you go with the Paul and Barnabas split?

Who would win in a wrestling match between Jacob and God?

Any thoughts or ideas?? or even answers to any of the questions posed?

Keep on truckin'

MYC-Mid Year Congestion

Amanda returned from MYC (Mid Year Convention, a week long Christian convention) and apart from the great bible teaching which is in her headshe also brought home a fantastic cold. In an effort to try and keep my wife healthy, I promptly wisked her away to a little island location an kept her in the sun.
Sadly, this meant ofcourse that I spent alot of time with her and thus I now have a cold.

Woe is me.. I know.

I missed out on the conference but I can't complain, an MYC was brought back from MYC for me..

Stopping to think about breathing.

Getting into the car yesterday morning was a refreshing change of environment. Having been locked up in my little Duplex for the last week, attempting to study, I had gone almost completely stir crazy. very kilometer away from home seemed to lighten my heart and mind. It's times like these I can understand the gypsie way of life...
Not so easy for me to live out anymore. Loss of bedroom on wheels( Panelvan or Ambulance) and extra wonderful commitments(Amanda) mean things are a little more complex and need to be planned out. Oh well, I'll find freedom in the groove.

Postal Terrorists

New York the big apple....

September 11 2001- world Trade centre..

Today Terrorism goes postal.

Be warned the picture below may distress some viewers..

It arrived in the mail today.

An icon destroyed. Theres a good reason why Dogs chase mailmen, they are terrorists.

The question I beg; Will we ever see snow falling over her majestic form?

The above item was a snowglobe, made in china, displaying a symbol of hope and beauty. Pride of place it has taken still, upon my right studio monitor, as a reminder of friendship, loyalty, beauty and order in a chaotic world.

Age of Reason...

It, a thought, occurred to me at 5am, on my way to work this morning.(Yes, a Sunday, man I could go a sundae)
I was listening to Triple M, as the CD I had put in had failed to load and I was too lazy to be bothered scrounging around for another. Each song that came on pretty much exactly hit the spot for my musical needs as I drove. Here is where the thought occurred; knowing full well that the M's cater for a 35-45 year old audience, the realisation that somehow I was akin to the target demographic.
The usual Slogans used by nostalgia radio stations;
“The hits from when you were young”
“Songs that remind you of the good times”
“Timeless classics that get your blood pumping”
All echo the same thing…..

YOU ARE OLD…

Tribute

The Fundamental principles are flawed. A universal constant that we rely upon, to maintain order and stability in this chaotic world, has come into question.

The uniformity of MacDonalds' food from, restaurant to restaurant, country to country.

I start at work early on Monday and Tuesday mornings, somewhere between 0530hrs and 0600hrs, depending upon when I drag my sorry carcass out of bed. Then after looking after what needs to be done onsite I drive back down to the gong for the days university learning fun. I'm driving passed at least one Maccas in my travels, so there is a great temptation to drive up to their conveniently positioned food dispensing windows . Yesterday morning I succumbed to the breakfasty delights that the clown had to offer. My usual order was taken. A sausage and egg McMuffin meal(with orange juice large) and a bacon and egg McMuffin. I usually eat the B&E muffin first as the spicy sausage has a more agreeable after taste. However, yesterday to my great surprise, I found myself eating the best Bacon & Egg McMuffin ever!
(Note:Exclamation point used)

Knowing full well that this experience contravenes all that society takes for granted on a few levels.

A>MacDonalds make fast less than satisfying food
B>It's always the same which ever restaurant you go to, whenever you're there.

So I'm left having to rationalise that I have had the best and most satisfying Bacon and Egg Muffin ever, and it came from MacDonalds. But, worse than that, MacDonalds food varies in quality. Permit me here to take some comic book logic, just briefly. If there can exist such a perfect specimen of Muffin as this, or a hero muffin; out there somewhere, just to keep balance to universal constants, there must be a super villain muffin.

Two thoughts come to mind. I don’t want to get that super villain muffin, and no Egg and Bacon Muffin will ever satisfy again. I know this is a pessimistic thought, but, I can see myself journeying the globe, leaving for distant galaxies, stopping into every MacDonalds on the way, in search of this Egg and Bacon McMuffin.(I bet that’s what the Silver Surfer is doing, just too ashamed to admit it)

2 Songs playing in my head(Parody stylings)

1>The Clown will never have that recipe again.. Oh Noo….
2>This is not the greatest muffin in the world. No, this is a tribute.
