Home on the Range

Have you ever actually thought about what it might be like to live "On the Range"?
I have, and the week after a sweet adventure I tend to think about it more. Riding my steed, playing tunes to the cactie and coyotes. Somehow that slow layed back way of life seems more exciting.
Now, for those fo you who know me, I like speed as much, possibly more, than the next person. However, in true post modern fashion, I like to do things at my speed and in my time(I,my,my).
I'm not wanting you all to focus on me here, really, but take the time to think if the desert, or even the Savannah represents freedom. Is the cowboys life for me? (You're allowed to add cowgirl there if your female, or that way inclined). We do have it pretty good. doors on hinges, and horses that are under car bonnets are pretty good. Sure, not as nice to pat, but easier to look after.
How often do we sacrifice freedom for convinience?
